You want to be a leader?

That's great!  Lets look at what you need before you apply:

  • aged 18+
  • of good character
  • mature
  • willing to give time
  • committed
  • determined
  • sense of humour
  • good organiser
  • get on well with people

The list is not exhaustive but providing you fit these basic qualities then your starting point is to visit the 'contact us' page on this website, tell us a little about yourself then we will arrange to meet you.

No experience necessary just a willingness to learn and join in.

Training will be given both formally and 'on the job' leading to the 'Wood Badge' qualification.

You will be required to  make the Scout promise and to wear uniform.

We may assign you to a group where you are needed but you can specify a preference and which age group you would like to work with.

Want to help but don't have time?

We can accommodate you as an occasional helper.  Use the 'contact us' page, send us a message telling us what you would like to do and we will arrange to meet you and discuss your future involvement.

Occasional helpers can be badge examiners, help with catering on camp, come to events as first aiders or non-uniformed instructors, the list is endless.

Some training may be required depending on what we agree your role is to be.

I would like to make a financial donation.

Firstly thank you!

Financial contributions are always welcome, we are a non profit NGO but of course we are severely restricted if we have no money!

The amount you wish to contribute is entirely up to you, large or small financial donations are gratefully received and will be put to good use.

Visit the 'contact us' page and we will be able to advise you from there, donations can be made in confidence if required.
